We offer boys and girls teams from 10U through High School.  Our ability to expand and grow is dependent on the number of volunteers from our supporting parents. There are a number of opportunities to get involved. If you are interested in supporting a team as a coach, equipment manager, field manager, board member, etc. Please let us know.

2021 Practice & Competition Plan

Please review the following plan, so that you are able to make an informed decision as to whether your player will join SacLAX for the 2021 lacrosse season.
  • Practices will begin between the weeks of March 1 and March 15 (depending on coach and field availability)
  • All SacLAX teams will run a PRACTICE-ONLY format, for the time being
  • Players and coaches will wear masks at all times, even with heavy exertion
  • Social distancing will be in place at all times
  • Side-lines/Spectators will wear masks
We will practice in teams and work on player development appropriate for each age group – ultimately to be prepared for competition when games are permitted.
What: 2 practices a week through May 31
When/Where: Check the registration page for details based on age group
Cost: $150 /player  (multi-player family discount available)
Cost is non-refundable as we are committed to fields, equipment, insurance, etc.

What about games?
We ask that you continue to be patient and flexible. When games are permitted, we will evaluate conditions and the availability of opponents, and inform families what additional cost will be required.

Based on State guidelines and the number or players registered, competition could consist of various options: 1) regular, full-size team/field format; 2) small-sided games (7v7 for boys; 8v8 for girls); 3) combine smaller teams to play in full-size format. Additionally, we will likely be limited in the number of teams within our geographic area. Once we have clarity, we will present the revised plan. We expect the total season cost with practices and games to be roughly in-line with a regular season (~$300 for 12U thru HS / ~$200 for 10U).

Gear: Kids should dress in full lax gear with pads, mouth guards and cleats. There will be no contact allowed but players should get used to wearing their gear.

Uniform: Purchase of uniforms will not be necessary for 2021. If we get to play games, we will use a combination of uniforms from last year and club-owned pennies.

COVID protocol: Everyone on the field will be required to wear a mask. Players must bring their own water. No sharing equipment or water. Parents please do NOT gather/watch in groups. It will put our field permit at risk. Additional details will be provided by your coach as we approach practices starting.

We must receive the following before your player can attend practices:
Mail the following to – PO Box 214918 Sacramento, CA 95821 (DO NOT give to the coach)

  • NCJLA Player Code of Conduct
  • NCJLA  Parent Code of Conduct
  • Covid-19 Participation Waiver
  • $200 deposit for volunteer hours or “opt-out”

Additional details specific to the 2021 Season can be found on Sacramento Lacrosse’s website under the documents tab https://www.leagueathletics.com/Documents.asp?n=&org=sacramentolacrosse.org

Big Thank You to All of Our Sponsors.

SACRAMENTO LACROSSE WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF OUR SPONSORS!

We'd like to thank the SacLAX sponsors who as part of their donations were all represented on the cool practice shirts that were distributed during the final of practices before we were forced to shut down. Please wear these shirts proudly as a show of support to these local businesses who were willing to support our club. Because of these unfortunate circumstances, the board has decided that all of these sponsors will be automatically rolled forward and are all considerd supporters of our 2021 season.

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor... or know someone who might be... please contact our awesome Fundraising Coordinator: Nicole Alyanakian to receive more information.

Thanks again sponsors!

Your Amazon purchases can earn money for Sacramento Lacrosse

SUPPORT SACRAMENTO LACROSSE

Sacramento Lacrosse has set up an Amazon Smile account. If you use the following link (https://smile.amazon.com/ch/45-3540220) whenever you want to navigate to Amazon, Sacramento Lacrosse will receive a donation from Amazon for .5% of all eligible purchases. This doesn't cost you anything extra, its a way for Amazon to donate to charities. So please follow this link, and bookmark it in your browser. Then whenever you need to place an order with Amazon use this link rather than going to their regular site. Finally, just shop as you normally would. Amazon will do the rest. And Sacramento Lacrosse will get a small donation. But those small donations add up. And by the end of the season, we can have a nice little check that helps us with our mission to grow the game of lacrosse in the Sacramento area.
